PWAs use web technology, with capabilities varying by browser. Cross-platform apps share parts of the codebase, while native apps integrate directly with a platform. All still require device-specific testing.

Include maintenance and prototype testing

Budget for releases, updates and multiple platforms. Prototype risky capabilities before committing and measure task completion rather than installations alone.
